Secure Global Software Development: A Practitioners’ Perspective

Global software development (GSD) is rapidly becoming standard practice in the industry due to its many potential benefits. However, one of biggest challenges GSD projects explicitly include security different phases global life cycle (GSDLC). To make secure and successful, it necessary identify (SSD) practices vital project success. This article aims SSD critical for projects. do this, we selected 36 non-GSD from existing scientific grey literature on security. From identified practices, shortlisted which are based practitioners’ opinions using an online survey. Fifty-four practitioners participated this Participants who evaluated these were asked score each a four-point scale indicate relevance The results obtained survey uncovered that primarily applicable Our findings reveal variations opinion among with varying experience company size regarding importance GSD. According study findings, 16/36 These belong various GSDLC.
